MRC-TRAIN Online Training Catalog and Training Management System
The MRC-TRAIN website provides a list of trainings available to MRC participants. Once an account has been created for the site, volunteers can register for online and in person trainings from across the country. This website is a very useful tool for locating training opportunities, and is free to use. If you have any problems with the system, call 202-218-4426 for technical support. The national MRC-TRAIN website also provides several reference sources for the MRC-TRAIN system, including a users guide, a frequently asked questions list, a quick guide, and a list of the core competencies that each MRC volunteer should work towards completing.
Online FEMA Training The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Management Institute offers online training courses to first responders, volunteers, and others interested in emergency management training. The FEMA Independent Study section provides access to all online training programs. Please take as many courses as you are able, and send a copy of your completion email / certificate to mrc@gchc.org.

Ohio Medical Reserve Corps Website The State of Ohio’s MRC website, www.serveohio.org, provides information about upcoming trainings for members of the Ohio Medical Reserve Corps. It also provides the registration function for the Ohio Medical Reserve Corps. If you are an Ohio resident and haven’t yet registered, please do so. Registering on this system allows the TMRC to call you out for trainings, exercises, and real emergencies. Check www.serveohio.org often for updates on local, regional, and state training opportunities.
Kentucky Medical Reserve Corps Website The Kentucky Medical Reserve Corps provides information on its KHELPS website. This website provides information on Kentucky’s KHELPS system. If you are an Kentucky resident and haven’t yet registered, please do so at the Kentucky KHELPS Volunteer Mobilizer website. This registration allows Kentucky to call out volunteers for trainings, exercises, and actual emergencies. Check the KHELPS website often for updates on local, regional, and state training opportunities.
