        On February 28th, the Clermont County Health Department set up a portion of the Alternative Care Center (ACC), a mobile 210 bed hospital managed by the Southwest Ohio Public Health Region.  This exercise in setting up the ACC was done in conjunction with the regional pandemic influenza exercise. 

       Clermont County Health Department worked with the Mercy Clermont Hospital and the Clermont County Engineer’s Office to set up an entire wing (three tents) of the ACC, complete with electrical system, air conditioning, and medical supplies.

       Clermont County was able to prepare the setup site and completely set up the ACC in 20 degree weather in under 3 hours.  The ACC was then opened for tours from local officials, hospital employees, and the general public.
