Mission Statement:  To assure collaboration and preparedness so that during periods of crisis, a state of physical, mental, and social wellness can be rendered to affected populations by utilizing “Major Public Health Strategies” that enhance mutual support and minimizes redundancy.

Executive Steering Committee

The Executive Steering Committee (ESC) is comprised of Health Commissioners and other top administrators from the Southwest Ohio Public Health Region.  The ESC provides assignments and direction for other work groups, and assures that policies, plans, and other projects developed in the region correspond with the overall regional mission and vision.  The ESC coordinates public health planning with other agencies and disciplines throughout the region.

Group Overview

The ESC has provided input and final approval for every plan and annex developed as a part of regional planning.  In addition, the ESC has directed various groups in reaching long term response goals.

Current activities involve reviewing and updating regional plans, providing guidance on issues involved in regional planning efforts, and working with regional coordinators from public health, hospitals, and the Regional Medical Response System to develop and implement a regional functional exercise for 2006.
