Information for Current Volunteers Thank you for continuing activity with the Tristate Medical Reserve Corps. As a existing volunteer, there are several documents, websites, and other reference material you are encouraged to review. In addition, please verify your contact information and medical license information (if necessary) at least once a year so we can contact you during an emergency.
Update Volunteer Profile The Ohio Medical Reserve Corps website and Kentucky Medical Reserve Corps Website both use an automated callout system to alert volunteers of important information regarding the Tristate Medical Reserve Corps. It is important to log on when your contact information changes, and at least once a year to verify that your information is accurate. If you have difficulty in accessing your profile on the Volunteer Mobilizer, click the “Forgot Password” link for help. The Tristate Medical Reserve Corps conducts regular callout tests using its automated system. If you have not received a phone or email test alert in over three months, check your profile contact information.
Preparing for Response As a member of the TMRC, you are part of a very important resource for emergency response activities in the Tristate area and beyond. In the event of an emergency, the TMRC will use an automated callout system to activate volunteers. Volunteers may be activated in specific counties only, so it is important to listen closely to activation messages. A TMRC member should never respond to an emergency without strict instructions to do so. As a member of the TMRC, we ask that you remained prepared for a volunteer activation. You can be prepared by doing the following things: - Keep your contact information current on the Ohio Responds / Serve Ohio database - Develop a home preparedness stockpile so your family will be prepared if you are asked to respond - Assemble a “go bag” to take with you if activated. A TMRC activation message will include information on items to bring with you to a response. These items will likely include: bottled water, identification (driver’s license, TMRC Card), proof of medical license (if applicable), personal care products (medication, hygiene, etc.), and a change of clothing. Having these items assembled in advance will allow a more rapid response. - Remain informed of developing public health and medical emergencies and monitor your email for information from the TMRC
