The Southwest Ohio Public Health Region is a coalition of 15 city and county health districts who have joined together in an effort to more efficiently identify, plan, respond, and mitigate public health emergencies in Southwest Ohio and the surrounding areas.

This region of Ohio contains approximately 1.6 million individuals, most of whom reside in Cincinnati and Hamilton County.  The region as a whole is a mixture of highly urban areas, including the City of Cincinnati, suburban communities, such as the City of Mason, and rural farm communities, such as Highland County.
